Ravens Andrews Ready After Scary Car Accident

Ravens' Andrews Ready After 'Scary' Car Accident

Speedy Recovery for All-Pro Tight End

Mark Andrews, the Baltimore Ravens' All-Pro tight end, is ready to return to the field after a "scary" car accident. Andrews was involved in a single-car accident on Monday, August 29th, near his home in Owings Mills, Maryland. He was taken to a local hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.

The Ravens announced on Tuesday that Andrews had been released from the hospital and was expected to make a full recovery. Andrews said in a statement that he was "thankful to be alive" and that he was "looking forward to getting back on the field with my teammates."

Andrews' Importance to the Ravens

Andrews is one of the most important players on the Ravens' offense. He is a key target for quarterback Lamar Jackson and is one of the best tight ends in the NFL. In 2021, Andrews had 104 receptions for 1,361 yards and nine touchdowns.

The Ravens are hoping that Andrews will be able to play in their season opener against the New York Jets on September 11th. If Andrews is unable to play, the Ravens will have to rely on other tight ends, such as Nick Boyle and Isaiah Likely.

Andrews' Recovery Timeline

The Ravens have not yet released a timetable for Andrews' return. However, it is likely that he will miss at least the first few games of the season. Andrews is expected to undergo further evaluation in the coming days to determine the extent of his injuries.

The Ravens are hopeful that Andrews will be able to return to the field soon. He is a key part of their offense and they need him to be at his best if they want to be successful in 2022.
