Dani Olmo: A Rising Star in Spanish Football
Early Life and Career
Daniel Olmo Carvajal was born on May 7, 1998, in Terrassa, Spain. He began his football career at a young age, joining the youth academy of FC Barcelona. After spending several seasons with the Barcelona youth system, Olmo joined Dinamo Zagreb in 2014.
Breakthrough at Dinamo Zagreb
Olmo quickly established himself as a key player for Dinamo Zagreb. He helped the club win three consecutive Croatian league titles and two Croatian Cups. In the 2018-19 season, Olmo was named the Croatian Footballer of the Year and led Dinamo Zagreb to the Champions League knockout stage.
Move to RB Leipzig
In 2019, Olmo joined German Bundesliga club RB Leipzig for a reported fee of €25 million. He has continued to impress at Leipzig, scoring 16 goals in 70 appearances in all competitions. Olmo has also been capped 10 times by the Spanish national team.
